I am always on the lookout for inspiring news stories because I grow so tired of hearing bad news. For awhile I had stopped listening to the news or reading it on the internet. I have since realized that I have to pay attention to the news, however, thanks to the internet I can go online and pick what I want to hear about. I listen to and read the good and the bad, but at least this way I can manage it on my own terms and I don't get burdened.
Here is an inspiring news story that I found. It wasn't so long ago that people with Downs Syndrome were just institutionalized - not to mention forcibly sterilized and lobotomized. Maybe now our culture is realizing that it is okay to be "special", or even that it should be cherished.
